The Election Isn’t Over and Neither Should be Our Prayers

How often do we storm heaven, get what we asked for and then our prayers quickly trail off?   After the election, I wrote Trump Needs Our Prayers Now More Than Ever.  I was never without serious reservations about a Trump presidency, but as the best pro-life alternative available, I was hopeful.  But election night did not seal the deal as we are seeing.

An attorney for Hillary Clinton's campaign says it will participate in the Wisconsin recount initiated by Green Party presidneetial nominee Jill Stein. As Bloomberg has reported: “Hillary Clinton’s campaign will participate in vote recounts of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan if they take place, drawing a rebuke from Donald Trump’s team that the Democrat is being a ‘sore loser’ and part of a ‘ridiculous’ effort.”
Kellyanne Conway, who was Trump’s campaign manager and is now a senior adviser, expressed disgust. “What a pack of sore losers,” she said. “After asking Mr. Trump and his team a million times on the trail, ‘Will HE accept the election results?’ it turns out Team Hillary and their new BFF Jill Stein can’t accept reality.”
Meanwhile, elector voters are being deluged with death threats from Hillary supporters.  WorldNetDaily reports that more than a dozen states allow electors to change their votes.  Although the odds against it are not high according to political analysts, life is full of surprises.
I’m reporting on this now, because it’s likely that the prayers before the election have slacked off.  We are seeing all sorts of division in his country.  Regardless of what happens in January, our country needs mega prayers now and in the future.  Keep praying.  Only God can properly lead us so keep appealing to him.  Make an extra effort to go beyond your usual routine and pray like our country depends on it.  It does.
